About Us

Champagne Quest is the first wine authority to provide North American consumers with a quick easy way to compare Champagne products by style and price. We have specialized in Champagne and other sparkling wines since 2012. We are independent and unbiased.

We provide dependable information with a focus on the North American consumer. As journalists, we present a mix of analysis, opinion, and news in a brief easy to read format. We developed the first Champagne Leaderboard ™.

The Champagne Quest encyclopedia describes the factors that influence the taste of champagne. We report on the grapes and production process to help you determine which products are the best fit for your personal taste.

Our retail platform gives wine and spirits stores an online presence. For retailers, there are both free and paid listing plans. Consumers can locate retailers near them or provide delivery in the USA. All products are sold and delivered by licensed local retailers or stores that can ship directly.

Ethics

Expertise is built through tasting, interviews with winemakers, visits to wine regions and knowledge about viticulture and winemaking.

Integrity is established when readers believe a critic is fair, impartial and independent. Champagne Quest staff members are not allowed to accept financial favors from the wine industry. We pay for our transportation and accommodations. Every member of the Champagne Quest staff is required to accept our code of ethics which avoids any conflict of interest.

Methodology

Our focus is on the current United States retail market. Our leaderboards list products along with our ratings. We also indicate which wine magazines provide tasting notes and articles on a given product. Champagne Quest ratings are based on the opinion of our tasting panel. Our ratings are independent. The wine magazines referenced are listed below along with their designations and links to their respective website. We encourage you to use their websites for tasting notes and related articles.

D – Decanter
WE – Wine Enthusiast
